Keeping the Frames Clean
One of the most common and generally type of cleaning in frames is static removal. This is the most important cleaning for companies that sell acrylic picture frames by the thousands so this becomes a serious problem for their business. After testing several cleaner polishes for static removal and ease of use, the product that was best for cleaning picture frame acrylic was Brillianize. This is a one-step cleaner polish. There is another tested product that was nearly as good and probably had a more durable polish but it was two steps, clean then polish. But if the acrylic is new then two steps are not required.
This two-step product did not leave the acrylic as clear as Brillianize. Brillianize appears to truly raise the sharpness of an image beneath the acrylic by a small amount. This product considerably reduces the quantity of static on the acrylic. Another way to reduce the static charge is to take a damp cloth and wipe the acrylic down while it has the paper mask on it. This is a good way in case if a person is in hurry and wants to get the frame assembled quickly and doesn't want all the dust in the room to be pulled onto the acrylic.
The use of Cloth
There is nothing special to clean acrylic, just a soft cloth. Use of paper towels is a bad idea. Any of the new micro fiber cloths work well. After substantial research, an equivalent of a micro fiber chamois was found which is extremely good. It is made by Crafters and it is called Micro fiber Smooth Towel. It is quicker at removing the final cleaning streak off of soft surfaces like glass.
Cleaning Glass frames is as easy as a normal frame. If one uses a damp tissue paper, followed by a dry tissue paper and cleans the entire glass from every corner properly, then the glass gives a very beautiful effect. It not only looks sparkling clean but also gives a shiny look.
Be it any kind of frame, if cleaned with a clean, dry, soft cloth, gives a clean look.
