Because it eliminates moisture vapors and condensation, the tape is used to provide insulation and prevent condensation on pipes, fittings and tubings in heating, air-conditioning, cooling, refrigeration and plumbing appliances. Cork insulation tape can also be used on hot pipes. Being soft and pliable, it can be easily molded around the fittings and connections and retains its adhesive properties at most high temperatures.
