Hockey is a stick and ball game with origins dating back thousands of years. It is traditionally played on grass, but more often these days it is played on synthetic surfaces. 2. Goal Attack is abbreviated as GA. He attacks goal third, goal circle, and centre third
3. Wing Attack is abbreviated as WA. He attacks goal third and centre third, not goal circle
4. Centre is abbreviated as C. He attacks everywhere except goal circles
5. Wing Defense is abbreviated as WD. He attacks goal third and centre third, not goal circle
6. Goal Defense is abbreviated as GD. He attacks goal third and centre third, including goal circle
7. Goal Keeper is abbreviated as GK. He attacks goal third, including goal circle
