Baby sitters must be able to deal with any problems that arise as an emergency.
Babysitters must posses the knowledge and skills that need to become a responsible babysitter, skills that will serve the students well into adulthood. He or she should be committed enough that the baby must be encouraged.

Employer Responsibilities towards babysitters

1. As an employer you owe many responsibilities towards the babysitters.
2. Babysitter should be made acquainted with the layout of the home and yard, indicating areas, which are dangerous to the child.
3. Indicate the location of bedrooms and emergency exits.
4. Teach her use of all the appliances that are there in your house.
5. Indicate her the places of fuse boxes, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher or any other item, which may be required in case of an emergency, and ensure that they knows how to use them.
6. Proper introduction of babysitter to children and pets should be carried out.
7. Provide information on things like allergies, medications, TV programs, music and bedtime of the baby.
8. Arrange transportation to and fro from the house of the babysitter.
9. Leave all necessary telephone numbers that could be contacted during emergency.
