As everyone gets busier by the day, people have very less time for their homes and for domestic work. It is a challenge for people to be able to accomplish both, the domestic as well as the professional tasks simultaneously. Though not much can be done about the increasing professional pressures, the domestic work can be made easier in several ways. There are a large number of advanced electronic appliances that can share almost the entire burden of house work. Also, if every member of the family lends a helping hand then domestic work can be the least of the problems. Even children must be given certain responsibilities and included in the process of domestic work.

Child's Play

Individuals, especially mothers must ensure that every member of the house contributes in maintaining the home clean and beautiful. For this even small children can be of great help and must be assigned tasks that they can complete independently. If children get the habit of working from a young age it would help them immensely in their future. Often parents do not feel confident of giving any work to their kids. However, this is a wrong notion. If children are properly encouraged and are made to feel responsible then they can do a great job and complete a task easily. In fact they can even work and produce better results than the adults.

Children have a lot of time at their disposal even after their school and play hours. Hence instead of whiling away their time watching the television or playing video games, they can utilize that time even more productively. They can be gives simple tasks like dusting, putting away books in the right shelves and cleaning up their own rooms. Also, if children are given the responsibility of cleaning their own rooms then they feel a sense of belonging and feel responsible for their room and to the home itself. Parents need to encourage them and appreciate their efforts by giving small gifts or rewards. This way the children would feel like helping their parents and also get a sense of better self-esteem once they are awarded or appreciated.

It is important that children get a habit of working for themselves right from a young age so that they have an easier time when they start living on their own.
